Project: Electrical Wiring & Integration of Donaldson Torit DCE LEV System

RW Scotland Ltd was contracted to carry out the electrical installation for a new Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) system at an aerospace manufacturing site in Derby by our partners Compliance LEV. The project involved the in-house design and build of a control panel based on the clients needs whilst integrating it with a Donaldson Torit DCE extraction unit, designed to remove airborne dust and fumes from the facility, improving air quality and ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations.

Scope of Work:

Design – From electrical schematics to control panel layout, our custom design was specified to incorporate the required components to minimize space and maximise the performance of the system.
Power Supply & Distribution – Installation of all necessary electrical supplies to power the LEV system, ensuring it operates efficiently and reliably.
Control Panel Integration – Wiring and termination of control systems to allow seamless operation, including start/stop functionality, safety interlocks, and performance monitoring.
Testing & Commissioning – Ensuring all electrical connections met compliance standards and that the system functioned correctly alongside the extraction unit.
Collaboration with Compliance LEV – Coordinating with their team to ensure a smooth installation process, aligning the electrical components with the mechanical system.
Outcome: The successful installation of the LEV system now provides enhanced dust and fume extraction, contributing to a safer and healthier work environment. The Donaldson Torit DCE unit is now fully operational, offering reliable and energy-efficient performance for the facility.
